Alaska Coalition for Veterans & Military Families is now seeking Board nominations!

AKCVMF is now seeking board nominations for its first ever elected board of directors. In the past, our board has been made up of primarily State of Alaska and Alaska VA Healthcare System officials. As the AKCVMF works its way toward 501(c)3 status, the current board voted to change our board requirements and open nominations up to the community. We are seeking board nominations through February 28, 2019.

Here are some of the qualifications we are looking for in considering new board members:

  • must live in Alaska, year-round.
  • have a Military connection, preferred.
  • have ability to fundraise on behalf of the organization.
  • must have an open mind and willingness to serve Alaska’s Veterans and Military Families without discrimination.

AKCVMF does not discriminate and seeks a board that is representative of Alaska as a whole, including (but not limited to) geographic, gender, race, religion, age and sexual orientation.
